Lithuanian-Italian-American Joint Venture INSTRUMENTATION LABORATORY (LIETUVA) B.I was founded in 27.08.1992.

The company began its activities producing Instrumentation Laboratory pH/blood gases analyzers and flame photometers. In 1994 it started to sell these products, supplying together with user training and service support activities. There is a specialized service department established in the company. Only highly trained service engineers work here, the department is equipped with all necessary equipment for instruments servicing and adjustment. There are special rooms for users training, conference room, reagents stock with temperature control. Employees of the company were trained in Italy, France, UK, Switzerland, USA and other countries. Successful partner companies work in Latvia, Estonia, Russian Kaliningrad area and Byelorussia. Instrumentation Laboratory (Lietuva) from the very beginning of its activities is orientated to the quality and to the customer. Instrumentation Laboratory (Lietuva) B.I was the first company in Lithuania which guaranteed technical problems solving within 24 hours after customer’s call. In Novemeber 2000 the Quality Management System of the company has been assessed and found to be in accordance with the requirements of the quality standards ISO 9002. Instrumentation Laboratory (Lietuva) B.I was the first company in Lithuania which sales, installation and maintenance activities of scientific, medical and diagnostic instruments were found to be in accordance with the above mentioned standard.

Instrumentation Laboratory (Lietuva) B.I was the initiator of National Laboratory Suppliers Association NLSA (NLSA in Lithuanian NLTA) founding. NLSA unites the best Lithuanian companies representing established suppliers as Abbott, Bayer, J.T. Baker, Beckman Coulter, Becton Dickinson, Biokit, Biotest, Biosite , Dade Behring, Instrumentation Laboratory, One Lambda, Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics, Radiometer, Roche ir kt. The goal of NLSA is to aim that Lithuanian laws would conform to EU directives, to follow ethic principles of competition and to support reforms in    www.nlta.lt   Lithuanian Health Care system.

Today Instrumentation Laboratory (Lietuva) B.I is a modern, dynamically developing company, well known in Lithuania and outside the country. The company has installed more than 300 hundred systems of various complexity for diagnostic and scientific research purposes. These systems include sophisticated computerised laser technology hematology instruments, laser flowcytometers, capillary electrophoresis and other instruments. Our customers are not only the biggest Baltic States hospitals, pharmaceutical plants and science research centres, but also primary care physicians offices.
